Can I Change Arrival Port/Date After e-VOA Issued?

This is a common concern for travelers whose plans shift after receiving e-VOA approval. Understanding Indonesia's e-VOA flexibility helps you manage itinerary changes confidently.

Arrival port changes:

The e-VOA system does not strictly bind you to a specific entry point declared during application. In general, Indonesia’s e-VOA is not strictly tied to the specific entry point declared during application, as long as you enter through an official airport or seaport that supports e-VOA processing. This provides valuable flexibility if you reroute flights or change island destinations.

Arrival date changes:

Your e-VOA has a validity window (typically 90 days from issue date) during which you must enter Indonesia. You can arrive on any date within this window, even if different from your originally stated arrival date. However, you cannot arrive after the e-VOA expires.

What you cannot modify:

  • Passport information
  • Personal details (name, nationality, date of birth)
  • e-VOA duration or type once issued

Important considerations:

  • Ensure your new arrival date falls within e-VOA validity period
  • Confirm your new entry point accepts e-VOA before traveling
  • In practice, travelers are not required to formally notify Indonesian immigration authorities of minor itinerary changes, as long as all entry conditions are met
  • Your e-VOA approval remains valid regardless of minor itinerary adjustments

If traveling after expiry: You must apply for a completely new e-VOA through the official portal—modifications or extensions of expired visas aren't possible.
