How long is an approved Indonesia e-VOA valid before entry?

The Indonesia e-VOA is generally issued with a validity period of 90 days from the date of approval. This means travelers must enter Indonesia within this 90-day window for the visa to be accepted. There is no separate activation step required—your e-VOA becomes valid automatically once it is issued.

Upon arrival at your first international entry point in Indonesia, immigration officers will scan the QR code on your approved e-VOA. From that moment, your authorized stay begins, allowing you to remain in Indonesia for up to 30 days in accordance with the visa conditions.

To make the most of your visa validity, it is strongly recommended to apply for the e-VOA close to your planned travel date rather than too far in advance. This helps avoid wasting unused validity time. If you do not enter Indonesia before the 90-day validity period expires, the e-VOA will no longer be usable, and you will need to submit a new application and pay the visa fee again.

Careful planning of your travel schedule and application timing can help ensure a smooth entry process and avoid unnecessary delays or additional costs.
