What documents do I need to extend my Uzbekistan visa?

You'll need to provide a clear digital copy of your passport (or travel document) along with supporting documents confirming your specific reason for requesting the extension. Documents not in Uzbek or Russian may require certified or official translations, depending on the reviewing authority’s request.

Required documents by extension purpose:

  • Tourism: Supporting documents for exceptional circumstances, such as flight cancellations, medical emergencies, or other force-majeure situations
  • Work/Business: Formal request letter from the employer, extended contract details, and a valid work permit where applicable
  • Student: Official letter from your educational institution confirming continued enrollment and extension necessity
  • Medical Treatment: Doctor or hospital certificate detailing treatment plan and expected duration
  • Family Reasons: Invitation letter from Uzbek citizen/legal resident relative with relationship proof (marriage/birth certificate)

If a representative applies on your behalf, they must be a close relative or an authorized legal representative who is a citizen of Uzbekistan and must provide a notarized power of attorney. The power of attorney must be properly notarized according to Uzbek law.

The completed online application form through my.gov.uz with accurate passport details and current visa information is mandatory. Ensure all documents are clear, readable digital copies to avoid delays during the review period, which may take up to 15 working days depending on the case.
