Can tourists get married in Bahrain?

Bahrain allows tourists to get married. However, there are some rules and restrictions that need to be followed. A medical examination and, if required, a "No Objection Affidavit" are typically required as part of the process, along with documents such as passports.

Regardless of their nationality, both parties must seek help from their own embassies. Depending on your preference, the marriage ceremony can be officiated by the Bahrain Ministry of Justice or conducted through a religious ceremony.

Additionally, couples must ensure that the marriage is registered with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they can also get the marriage certificate translated. There are various venues in Bahrain, including religious establishments, hotels, and even unique locations like the Bahrain International Circuit for an unforgettable experience

Due to their less strict standards, alternative wedding locations like Georgia or the Seychelles are popular among expatriates for those looking for an easier process. For more details on the process and costs, including embassy charges and medical fees, it's advisable to consult local authorities or wedding planners.
