How To Go To Pulau Ketam?

Pulau Ketam (Crab Island) is a unique fishing village on stilts located off the coast of Selangor, accessible only by boat from Port Klang. The journey requires some planning as ferry schedules may change due to weather or tidal conditions.

Getting to Port Klang:

  • Take the KTM Komuter train from KL Sentral to Port Klang station (around 75–90 minutes depending on stops).
  • By car or taxi from Kuala Lumpur (about 60–90 minutes depending on traffic).
  • Express buses from various KL terminals

Ferry Services: The passenger ferry operates from Port Klang Jetty with limited daily schedules:

  • Passenger ferries run several times daily, usually every 30–60 minutes, with extra trips on weekends and public holidays. Always check the latest schedule before traveling.
  • The ferry ride takes about 30–40 minutes each way, depending on the type of boat.
  • Fares are around RM 12 one way for adults (RM 6 for children), with return tickets available at about RM 20.
